Hello, I am Chris Jardin, I oversee the managing of the partnership between our customers and the insurance carriers.  My goal is to educate you as the consumer on what your options are so you can make an education decision about your healthcare needs.  I have specialized in small group and ancillary benefits since 1997 in the greater NYC Metro Area.

Shortly after earning my bachelor’s degree in English literature I rejoined the Maxon Company, an employee benefits firm I interned over the summer with during college.  I had initially intended to become a teacher or a lawyer; at minimum I wanted a degree that would allow me to do many things.

Right out of college I was traveling around the states of Florida, Georgia, Pennsylvania and Washington DC; I was thrust into the world of Student Health Insurance – in which an administrative body consisting of students and faculty would solicit bids from competing insurance to be offered to international and domestic students.  I thoroughly enjoyed this first job as I was right back on college campuses.  Being my own time and logistics manager really helped create good work habits that I still use today.

My next position within the company Small Group Medical Insurance coordinator.  I relocated to New York and immediately started cold calling on local brokerage firms to partner with.  My role as an intermediary was to generate direct and broker business while providing level commission with better customer service.  I essentially become the back office for many agencies working directly with insurance carriers to make the sales process easy.

My role within the MVR Agency compliments my work experience over the past 23 or so years in this market.  I assist our clients understand their options so they can make an educated decision on based upon what is being offered and what will best meet their needs.

Community engagement is something that I have gotten involved in over the past 10 years, I was part of a founders of the Ridgewood 3/2/1 Kiwanis – a new club created to better address the community needs of Ridgewood queens this group is heavily involved with the local businesses partnering with local schools and local authorities.  Two programs that have really impacted the community are the backpacks for kids that are distributed before the school year and the welcome kit for new impoverished moms, providing them with the newborn essentials.  Community Supported agriculture is a partnership in which I support an organic farm by prepaying for the upcoming seasonal vegetables, in addition to supporting a local farm each week at the pick up I get to engage with fellow “Vegetable people”.
